Just joined and already saved money. I didn't realize, since I don't receive paper bank statements and never, ever check mine, that I have been paying $10 per month for Netzero dialup, and simultaneously paying for MSN services- twice per month- through two seperate accounts through direct withdrawal. I feel like an idiot. Just called to cancel the Netzero and have been in touch with MSN to figure out why double and which to charge @ $30 per month to cancel.

[...] Even Mr. Feeny knew when enough was enough. During difficult times, the last thing you need are bad influences on your health and finances. Cut. Cut. Cut. Cut out draining relationships and don't feel bad about it. You'll have more of yourself to give to others. Cut out unnecessary expenditures. This cutback tool from Wesabe makes it easy and almost automatic. Don't let silly purchases add up and cause even more stress in a difficult time. "Sit down. Stay where you are. For the first time, I choose to walk out on you." - Mr. George Feeny [...]

Great feature! I found that when I started using Wesabe the act of tagging my transactions made me think about recurring stuff and cut it out. I'm happy to say that the only recurring expense it found for me was my energy bill.

I'm pretty sure all Cutback does is search for charges from the same vendor that have been occurring regularly (probably does weekly, biweekly, and monthly), then assumes you'll keep paying them and gives you its annual cost.

So yes, it'd label your metro card as that, and I suspect haircuts and doctor visits may get caught as well if you're very regular with them. That's why they give you the option to decline.

It's a very neat feature though.
