This is an incredible tool, I always try and save receipts so i can enter them later, but I always end up with a wad of mush after they make it through the spin cycle with my pants...Can't wait to start using this regularly.

Frank: Great ideas -- we have *some* of that coming....OCR may wait a bit :)

Derek: No, not at all. I mentioned that we tested extensively on the iPhone, and that's what I use. We don't have an iPhone-specific interface, but the mobile site works perfectly on my iPhone. Do you have a cash account in your Wesabe account list? If not, go to "Upload an Account," and you'll see a button to add a cash account. Once you do that you can add transactions to that account.

Derek and Dave: If you're having trouble reaching the site, try this address instead:

https://www.wesabe.com/m

Hope that helps!

[...] Social money management webapp Wesabe has just added a mobile interface, eliminating the memory gap between purchases and spending records. Along with entering in purchases and withdrawals, Wesabe Mobile lets you see your recent transactions and balances from your cell phone, PDA or Blackberry—a helpful willpower tool for anyone trying to break a once-a-day Starbucks habit (or Tim Hortons, for you northerners). Those with SSL-enabled mobile browsers and an existing Wesabe account can head to m.wesabe.com. Introducing Wesabe Mobile [Wesabe blog] [...]

I guess the recommendation of using Opera Mini means that the iPhone isn't supported? I loaded the mobile site and all I see is a nicely styled presentation of my account(s) balance and recent transactions. No options to add pending transactions. Any plans for support? Also, Mobile Safari reports that the SSL certificate is expired.

This is great. I especially like the fact that I can take a picture of my receipt and have the data OCRd and automatically entered into Wesabe... oh wait :-)

Seriously, nice addition to an already quality offering.

Thanks to the team!

Hi, Josh,

Yes, it is coming -- right now we don't have upcoming transaction support (we just list the transactions that have already hit the bank), but we're adding it very soon. At that point you'll be able to enter transactions for any account. Hope this helps.

[...] From their Wheaties for Your Wallet blog: We’ve had a number of people testing out the mobile site, and the feedback we’ve gotten the most often is that entering cash transactions from the road is a huge help. If you’re waiting for the barrista to make your favorite coffee drink, call up Wesabe Mobile and drop the cost of that drink into your accounts, and you’ll have a way to test the much-touted latte factor for yourself.
